We have an exciting project underway that involves the development of a parcel of land on a quiet residential street in the east Ottawa suburb of Orleans. The lot is 100 ft wide and 200 ft deep, and we plan to construct 18 rental units on it. The vacant lot near Place D’Orleans has R2N zoning and can be divided into 6 lots, to accommodate our project. To create the 18 residential rental units, we will build 3 long semi-detached homes. Long semi-detached means that one half of the semi faces the front of the lot, and the other half faces the back of the lot. Each half of a semi will contain 3 residential units. See the Plan drawing below to better understand how each building will contain 6 separate units.

All units will be constructed above ground, which will increase the rental income as compared to creating one unit in the basement. The buildings will feature Net Zero design and construction, complete with solar panels on the roof, superior sound and temperature insulation, and triple-glaze aluminum windows and doors.
